Damn, bud. That's a whole lot of progress. And it's not just technique, but you've progressed conceptually as well. Even though you drew the same scene, his leg-pistons and the circuits on his belly show how mature your creative process has become. Mad props
thank you, sir. really appreciate that. I think that was the coolest thing about redoing the piece. I remember doing the original piece and what I was think about, which wasn't really much. but the redo had so much more thought going into it.
It took me a little convincing to redraw an old piece, but it turned out to be pretty fun. It was interesting to notice the different things I think about now when tackling a piece versus 6 years ago when I didn't really think too much about anything when starting a piece. composition, form, etc etc
Agreed. I've done a couple of 'I'm just going to draw and not think' but then I look at it after I'm done and see all the mistakes. I do try to just doodle in a notebook when I get a chance...and never look at it again
