Princess Bride by Walter-Ostlie Princess Bride by Walter-Ostlie
The Princess Bride was one of my all time favorite movies as a kid. I would watch it over and over again. Then I read the book and it gave me a different perspective on 'true love' then what I got in the movie, but I still enjoy the movie. Of course it has nothing on my all time favorite movie....Clue!

This is another print for MegaCon in Orlando, FL. I'll be at the artist alley, green #6. Stop by and say hi.

11x17 pen and watercolor. a little play on art nouveau...which I shouldn't do cause I don't know how to spell it...thanks google!

I like how you did it in a art deco/jugendstil style also Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies too. :-)

I've never heard of Art Nouveau called judendstill before.  Don't think I've even heard that term.  Thank you for passing that along.  Yes, Princess Bride is a classic.

I don't think I can sell it through the DA store because of the copyright.  But I can mail you a 11x17 glossy paper print for $15 plus $5 S/H (US only).  Payment accepted via PayPal to wallyisazero@yahoo.com.

Thanks for checking out the piece.  I don't know how many times I watched Princess Bride.  Such a great movie, one of the best for sure.

I love this piece, though I'm mainly commenting to share my admiration for the movie Clue. Actually just recently watched it with my wife, who almost had to convince me that it wasn't absolutely terrible prior to.

Tim Curry is God. Later.

dude...CLUE doesn't F around.  That movie hits on so many points for me, it isn't even funny.  It's got mystery, a great cast of characters, humor, witty dialogue, the timing is so perfect, it's in a awesome mansion.  L-O-V-E that movie.

Glad you finally got around to seeing it.  I know it is tough watching old movies for the first time and hard to like them if you didn't see them when they were new cause it is hard to hold up.  Tell your wife that she is mad awesome.

Haha, I will inform her of her intense awesomeness. And yeah, it can certainly be tough getting over the "old movie" hurdle (besides 80's sci-fi, which I can't get enough of).

It's almost like you WISH it wasn't based on a board game, so people may credit it more. Never really hear peeps talking about it, though it was a classic.

Yes, I can't believe Clue doesn't get more love.  It's kind of like Oingo Boingo, I feel like they don't get any many props as they should.

Have you seen The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra?  If not, you need to check it out.  Pays homage/makes fun of old skool sci-fi.

I don't know how many times I watched princess bride. I used to watch it over and over and over. It is one of the best and reading the book is also a completely different experience as well, so many more nuances to the relationship between the two. Really one of the best.

This is so incredibly beautiful, I keep staring at it and picking up new details like the peanut and goblets and the "true love" was a lovely surprise when I caught it. Nice job making the characters resemble the movie yet at the same time they are your own. Westley is sooo, sooooooooo handsome. I wish this was the cover on my book!

Thank you so much. I don't know how many times I've seen this movie. It was great to finally bring the characters to life with my own hands and to pour all my favorite characters into the piece.

I don't know how many times I've seen this movie. I know during the summers I would play it every day. I even took up fencing because of this movie. I wanted to be the dread pirate. Such great fun, one of the best movies for sure.

Ah yes. Me and my sister would stay up late just to watch the movie. I was always interesting in it because of the movie, but I'm pretty poor, so I would play with stick with me and my sis. I never wanted to be a pirate though. Just an adventure with a penchant for sword fights. :XD:

God, you couldn't stop me from quoting this when I was kid. I was constantly telling people they had killed my father and that they should make some preparations before their imminent termination. Additionally, many things were found to be inconceivable, and finally as noted in the corner, many queries were made as to if any parties were interested in the consumption of a certain legume.

Therefore; this is great.
