Open Vol 1 Cover Take 2 by Walter-Ostlie Open Vol 1 Cover Take 2 by Walter-Ostlie
This is a second take on my sketchbook cover. I think the original will get more lookers though, so maybe I will stay with it. Not sure. What do you guys think?

here is the other

This one was entirely digital. Photoshop. Little ashley wood vibe. Need to start learning better, faster painting techniques so I can get a portfolio for that going as well. Think I am going to do a comic page this weekend in this style. Wish me luck.

Totally awesome! Sick gun. I really like both of these covers. Personally, I'd go with the first one as the cover and use this as the first page in the sketchbook.

I used this one as the front cover and the other as the back cover. then I just put two books on my table, one with each side showing. :-)

I like when the orbital gun SOL misfires and tears of tetsuos arm, then destroys whats left of the olympic stadium... I wonder if they knew S.O.L. stands for Shit Out of Luck?

Bitchin'.

I like this one WAY more personally. The original is eye catching for mainly the cleavage, while this new one feels more like a solid idea almost? I dunno. I just think this one looks way more awesome.

That's true, but it's Cleavage VS. Cleavage/motorcycle/gun.

And we all know how THAT turns out.

Yeah, this seems to be the one people like. I wish I speedpainted it. that was the intention. But I spent a few hours on it. Not sure. maybe 6? It started as a speed painting, but I wasn't happy with the hand placement and jacket. I also cleaned up the gun. It still has that speedpaint look though, which I love. Maybe with more practice I can bust something like this out in a 30 minutes like the pros :-) If you want I can throw up the different stages on my blog.
