Harley Quinn by Walter-Ostlie Harley Quinn by Walter-Ostlie
This was part of a series of watercolors I did. It is 4.5x5 inches watercolor paper, done with Pentel Brush pen and watercolors.

It is really fun working on this size paper, larger then a sketch card so you can get some details, but small enough so you don't feel overwhelmed. Really great for warmups.

I am really starting to like working with watercolors.

Wow, I love this. Especially the watercolors. How do you do that?

Lots of trial and error. Just drawing quick pictures and splashing on some color on it without too much concern or worries about messing it up. fun way to practice.

Don't forget that ink that comes with the Pentel brush pen isn't waterproof. Looks awesome!!!!

you must have got a knock off. My pentel brush ink is water proof to the maximus! Have you had problems with it running? I've done bunches of pieces with watercolor and ink wash with the inking done with pentel and not had a problem. The kuretake brush pen ink is a whoooole other story though. that will run if it is damp outside :-)

dude it's totally not a knock off!! lol
Do you let the ink dry before going in with watercolor? I mean, it's not like you can do an ink wash with it but I've had it smear and stuff before. Sometimes I drown my stuff in water though. D:

Maybe it is the paper? I don't think I've even had the slightest smear. I think once I tried to make it smear, I had to go over the line a few times and put water on it right away to get it to smear and it was barely anything. weirdness.

Did you get your pen from Jet Pens dot com? We must compare pens next time!

There's another convention! These things are getting out of control :-). I'm not. The only one on my schedule is MegaCon for the foreseeable future. Wizard Miami was cancelled, so maybe supercon.
